Engineer Kayode Isiaka Ajiboye was born on the 11th of June, 1963. He was appointed the Director of Airworthiness Standards on the 2nd September, 2020.
He had his tertiary education at the University of Ife, Ile-Ife graduating in 1985 with a Second Class Upper Division BSc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Engr. Ajiboye has been working with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) as an Aviation Safety Inspector (Airworthiness) for over 33 years. In the course of his career, he has successfully attended several aircraft type qualification trainings, safety oversight courses, ICAO SSP and SMS courses, Accident Investigation and Aviation Management courses.
He is the ICAO USOAP National Continuous Monitoring Coordinator for Nigeria. He is also an ICAO certified USOAP CMA auditor in the area of Airworthiness of Aircraft.
Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority is the regulatory body for aviation in Nigeria. It became autonomous with the passing into law of the Civil Aviation Act 2006 by the National Assembly and assent of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Act not only empowers the Authority to regulate Aviation Safety without political interference, but also to carry out oversight functions of Airports, Airspace, Meteorological Services, etc as well as economic regulations of the industry.
