DIRECTORATE OF AIR TRANSPORT REGULATION (DATR)

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is statutorily responsible for the safety and economic regulation of the civil aviation industry. In accordance with the provisions of Part IX Section 30(7a) of the Civil Aviation Act 2006, NCAA has six (6) Directorates among which is the Directorate of Air Transport Regulation (DATR).The Directorate is responsible for the economic regulation of the aviation industry. The Directorate is divided into four (4) main Departments and each Department is headed by a General Manager who reports directly to the Director. The four Departments and the Units are:

  1. Air Transport Operations;
  2. Commercial and Statistics
  3. Economic Regulation/Facilitation and
  4. Consumer Protection Department
