UMEH, OBIANUJU MILLICENT
Umeh, Obianuju Millicent was born on 16th of September, 1967 at the commercial City of Onitsha in Anambra State.
After secondary education went to prestigious Nigerian University, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and graduated with Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLS) in 1991. More so, I obtained a second Degree from Lagos State University (LASU) on Master of Public Administration in Human Resources Management. I equally acquired Diploma in Computer Operations in 1998.
Consequently, I started Civil Service work as Public Relation Officer with National Agricultural Land Development Agency (NALDA), Anambra State Branch in 1993 after NYSC. Thereafter, in April, 1994 I join the services of Federal Civil Aviation Authority (FCAA) as Librarian I, which later metamorphosed into Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in the year 2000. I was instrumental to different successes recorded by NCAA Technical Library during various International Audits performed in NCAA Facility.
I have been privileged to attend several trainings on Aviation Information Management Services, Information Service delivery Systems using different Sections of Library activities. I have as well participated in many Local and International Conferences on Current Trends in Standard and Best Practices on Information Management and Delivery Service Systems. In addition to the above I have been exposed to knowledge on Indexing and Abstracting of Technical Publications, Collection Development skills and Collection Evaluation Approaches.
However, I am a member of International Federation of Library Association and Institutions (IFLA). I belong to the professional Body of Nigerian Librarians called Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) as a Certified Librarian since 2006. Also I am a Certificate member of Nigerian Library Association (NLA) and a current member of Library and Information Today (LIIT).
On January 1st, 2021 I became a General Manager of NCAA Technical Library with 27 years of cognitive experiences in Aviation Information/Resources Management Services.
She is happily married and blessed with children.
