NCAA APPOINTS A NEW DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL DUTIES image
Mrs. Augustina Erah (Ph.D.) has assumed office as the new Director, Directorate of Special Duties (DSD) at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) following a minor redeployment approved by the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN).
Dr. Erah took over from Mr. Horatius Egua, who served as the pioneer director of the directorate. He provided a comprehensive briefing to his successor on the structure and operations of the Directorate.
In the welcome address of the Director General, Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo commended the outgoing Director of Special Duties, Mr. Egua Horatius, for his service and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Welcoming Mrs. Erah to the NCAA family, the DGCA expressed confidence in her ability to lead the directorate effectively. He assured her of his full support and encouraged other directors to extend the same cooperation, noting that her success would translate into the overall success of the Authority.
In the handover remark, Mr. Egua noted that the directorate comprises five distinct units, each with specific responsibilities designed to support the strategic objectives of the Authority. He outlined the functions of the units and how they collectively contribute to the effective implementation of the Directorate’s mandate.
The Director of Consumer Protection and Public Affairs read the citation of Mrs. Erah, highlighting her professional background and achievements.
In her acceptance remarks, Mrs. Erah thanked the DGCA for the opportunity to serve and expressed optimism that, with the cooperation of fellow directors and staff, her tenure would be productive and impactful.
Goodwill messages were delivered by directors of various directorates as they welcomed her warmly and pledged their support, stating that the Authority stands to benefit from her competence and experience.
The staff of the Directorate of Special Duties also assured the new Director of their loyalty and commitment to achieving NCAA's goals.
