The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, through its Directorate of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, engaged Kenya Airways and affected passengers over compensation for stolen baggage.
The meeting took place at the NCAA corporate headquarters in Abuja, with representatives of Kenya Airways joining virtually. Mr. Michael Achimugu, Director of Consumer Protection, and his team facilitated the engagement.
The meeting addressed reports of missing iPhones and other valuables from checked-in luggage on the airline's flights.
The NCAA has launched investigations into the incidents to determine liability and facilitate appropriate resolutions. "Investigations are ongoing, and resolutions will be made."
