The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has granted Elin Group Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to commence charter flight operations.
The presentation of the Operational Specifications and AOC took place at the Authority's Headquarters Annex in Lagos recently.
The Director-General of the Authority, Capt. Musa Shuaibu Nuhu who was represented by the Director of Airworthiness Standards (DAWS), Engr. Kayode Ajiboye congratulated the new entrant for successfully completing the audit, exhibition of professionalism and discipline in the course of the stringent exercise.
Capt. Musa enjoined the new operator to remain exemplary by imbibing culture of safety as their core value. This, the DG said, is better observed by always keeping eyes on the ball.
He advised them against ill-spending as financial health status of an airline is critical to its growth, thereby urging them to do everything possible to ensure that their operation is not jeopardized.
Also speaking, the General Manager, AOC/Surveillance, Engr. Godwin Balang advised the Group to strictly adhere to the second arm of certification which is unwavering adherence to safety standards.
In his response, the Accountable Manager/Chief Operation Officer of the Group, Capt. Omoke Enyi expressed satisfaction in getting the AOC which, according to him, is a milestone in the Group's bid towards commencement of charter operation. He however promised to ensure safety comes first in all their operations.
Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of the Group, Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Jackrich thanked the Authority and her certification team for their thoroughness and professionalism in the journey towards certification
She however assured that the Group will not rest on its oars by ensuring strict adherence to safety standards and global best practices in their operation.
