The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has reaffirmed its commitment to an inclusive workplace with the presentation of an assistive work tool to Ms. Ogechi Uloka, a visually impaired staff member in the Human Resources Department.
The device was presented on July 29, 2026, at the NCAA Regional Office, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by Mr. Ashiru Muhammad Abdulrashid, former Deputy General Manager and Head of the Human Resources Department, Abuja Regional Office (ABRO), in the presence of staff from the ICT, Human Resources, Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, Airworthiness Standards, Air Transport Regulation, and Aerodrome & Airspace Standards departments.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Abdulrashid described the gesture as a demonstration of the Authority's commitment to staff welfare, equal opportunity, and workplace inclusion, noting that every employee should be empowered with the tools required to perform optimally regardless of physical limitations.
The management commended Ms. Uloka's resilience, dedication, and professionalism, expressing confidence that the assistive technology would further enhance her productivity and contribution to the Authority.
The initiative reflects NCAA's commitment to creating an inclusive workplace by deploying technology that empowers staff with disabilities to work efficiently and contribute fully to the Authority's mandate.
