(i) Application for renewal of an Air Transport Licence (ATL) shall be made in writing to the Director General, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
(ii) The application shall be signed by a person duly authorized by the applicant.
(iii) The application must be submitted to the Director General, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) on or before a date not less than six (6) months to the expiration of the existing ATL.
The following supporting documents are required for processing the application:
(a) Receipt of Payment of one million, five hundred thousand Naira
(N1, 500,000.00) being:
(i) N500,000.00 processing fees; and
(ii) N1,000,000.00 utilization fees at N200,000.00 per annum.
Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority is the regulatory body for aviation in Nigeria. It became autonomous with the passing into law of the Civil Aviation Act 2006 by the National Assembly and assent of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Act not only empowers the Authority to regulate Aviation Safety without political interference, but also to carry out oversight functions of Airports, Airspace, Meteorological Services, etc as well as economic regulations of the industry.
